Anita holds a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Haverford College and began her research career at the Experimental Immunology Branch of the National Cancer Institute (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, where she spent eleven years deepening her expertise in immunology. She later returned to her home state of Colorado to apply her skills and explore the immunology of type 1 diabetes, working under the mentorship of renowned investigators including John Hutton, Howard Davidson, Katie Haskins, and Thomas Delong. For the past two decades, she has remained dedicated to this field, currently serving as Program Manager and devoted volunteer for the Children's Diabetes Fund (CDF). She is now excited to embark on a new chapter in research, expanding her focus to include the spatial biology of cancer with us! Welcome Anita!
